Apropos of nothing. Just waiting to be made into pear-sauce (like applesauce but with pears) in preparation for becoming pear butter.
So a funny thing happened on Tuesday. It was the end of my workday and I was checking my personal email and I see, in my in-box, a message from Thermador.
Even before opening it I felt kind of guilty and chagrined. I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings, even a conglomerate like Thermador. And I wasn't all that flattering to them in my post about my vexation with my oven.
It was a very nice email from one of their senior customer support representatives and he wanted to help out. He asked that I contact him so they could see if they could help resolve my issues.
I, of course, turned it over to Rick. I'm passive-aggressive and a weenie, it would appear.
The upshot of it is we have a service tech coming out next Tuesday to diagnose and repair the problem with our oven, free of charge. How is THAT for customer service? They even came to me instead of the other way around!
Tomorrow's blog entry shall be about my total dissatisfaction with the California State Lottery.....

Good for you, I'm glad to hear Thermador is being responsive! I hope the 'fix' is quick and easy.
Great shots of the pears, btw!! I love when you share photos like that. Have a great weekend. xo

My company has Google Alerts set up so we know when someone is saying something about the company. I'm sure most companies do this now.
That is too funny about the lottery...You had me laughing out loud!
