I feel for you. Our oven is horrible (although to be fair, it is old). When we moved in two years ago, we said we would replace it asap, but other things have intervened. The gas burners sometimes fail to self-ignite, which isn't a huge thing. But sometimes that oven does, too, which is more of a pain. Then there is the oven temp. The oven doesn't have its original dial, so you have to guesstimate the temp and check the thermometer every so often. You think it has FINALLY heated up to the temp you need, when surprise, it suddenly shoots up 50 degrees or more. Frustrating!

Molasses Cookies are my favorite and it's okay if your oven doesn't work because the dough tastes just as good as the cookies! Yours look so good!

Yankee candles are THE BEST!

Your kitchen is gorgeous and so are your cookies!

Hello, I am new to your blog, I love your kitchen, it looks so fresh and clean.

You might try Home Goods or Marshall's if you have those retailers in your area, I usually have pretty good luck finding discontinued Yankee candles there. I loaded up on Honey Dew Melon at Marshall's several weeks ago. Also my sister in law tells me that during Yankee's semi annual sale sometimes they bring back discontinued scents. I think the label is different though, my honey dew candles don't look the same on the outside but they smell the same.

You make me laugh!!!!! If I ever see any I'll get them for you. Better yet, I'll keep them and then I won't have to clean either! That's the ticket!!!

It's a shame something so beautiful as that stove doesn't work right!

Sorry .. but from what I have read in reviews, that oven is just a no-go. I hope you can get Thermador to pay for all the repairs. Just show them all the poor online reviews and let them know that ALL of us consumers here on your nice little blog are waiting to see if you are treated well with your problems. That should get you some results!

I have that same range and I have always been disappointed with it. FIRST of all, the fan noise is too loud and it's always on whether using "bake" or "convection". (I thought the fan would only be on when using convection.)SECOND, it has always been slow to heat and inaccurate. THIRD, I have had to replace the computerized brain once already.

But, the cooktop part is pretty good.
Sometimes I wish I had bought an old Wedgewood like my Mom had. No electronic anything, worked perfectly for 50 years.

I love your oven too. Mine is a very small apartment size one (no I don't live in an apartment, that's just what I could afford 21 years ago) and it won't die. I really don't want it to but it would be a good way to get a new fancier one. Anyways, I hope they get yours fixed. I know about the candle problem, just as you really get to liking something it's discontinued. I'm glad your helped you get a new batch.

Your kitchen is lovely. Great looking stove...even if it is finicky!

OH, that's funny....look at all those candles....I love it! And shoot, I think I would have liked that scent and now its lost forever. Nancy in WI
