...and this little piggy managed to get himself painted, silverleafed, painted some more and then antiqued.
Yet he remains so good natured.
He started out terracotta - which wasn't working for me so he spent a stint whitewashed:
He was just too chalky looking. He didn't like it either. So late one night (when I seem to find all my inspiration and energy) I silverleafed him. He looked a bit like I had wrapped him in aluminum foil so I sponged on a couple different shades of grey paint and then finally sponged on some burnt umber ink.
He looks like he's been silver for centuries now.
Silverleafing is a lot of fun and quite easy. It's just a bit messy. I still have little bits of silverleaf floating around the dining room.

Now that works! He looks very dapper. You are beginning to remind me a bit of Goldfinger though.

That little pig is adorable. You did a great job. I think I may have to start silverleafing. My dogs better watch out!

Oh that is much better. Antiqued silverleaf is so much more slimming than that harsh and unforgiving white. That little piggy needs to go wee wee wee wee all the way to MY home!

Well, your little pig looks really nice now...sort of mellow, much more desirable than a chalky pig. Middle of the night inspiration is right on evidently! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend. pat

He does look like he's been silver (& happy about it!) for a long, long time! Adorable. I just love the expression on his face!

You certainly gave him a great face lift, Andrea! He does look better. If only silverleafing would do it for me...
