I love Anne of Green Gables...I would pick the whole series too! As for the others, too many faves to choose from!

Definitely Pride & Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables (which I'm taking on the plane on our trip because it's been a long time since I last read it), and I love the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters.

Idoru by William Gibson
Pride & Prejuduce
The Boxcar Children series

When I was a child, I loved the Anne of Green Gables series, and The Chronicles of Narnia! I would love to have the time to read them again, my childhood favorites. I would also take The Secret Garden, and sneak The Little Princess in somehow. Fun topic!

Count me in on the Pride and Prejudice fan club, then I would choose Forever Amber and Lady Chatterley's Lover...(blush)

Ditto for me . . . Pride and Prejudice. I would also choose Huck Finn and the Bible. I would love to be reading on that island right now!

We share so much, I read your blog daily and can relate to everything (esp the nasty "o" situation, but enough about that!)
I wish I were near enough to the place where I grew up so I could relive some of the fun times of being a child again, but I do it now long distance. Speaking of Anne (with an "e") a few years ago several of us visited Nova Scotia and PEI and got reacquainted with Montgomeries "Anne" We decided to give a Christmas Tea with the theme and we had such fun, I made four identical dresses and pinafores, we bought our hats with braids while on our trip. If you want a laugh, you can view the photos of our tea at:

OK next week I will also start walking since you have inspired me to get off my behind!

Oh, I am an Anne of Green Gables fan as well. Right now my daughter is reading The Secret Garden which I loved as a child! I am enjoying reading it again with her.
